Just a Thought…

My perception of the quality of Microsoft products would be improved if, when forced by circumstance to use Word 2007, I could select text without it crashing every fourth time. Click and drag selecting is pretty basic, and while I know this is an outdated version of the software, I would have hoped they had that worked out by now. If I didn’t have a publishing company dictating the software, things would be going much faster right now.

Sadly not being published, one day…
Indexing articles for the law review. It’s scintillating. I have to tag every case or statute referenced in a 102 page document. Also fun, Word will try to compensate for the fact that with editing marks on you see the text getting added. It will try to keep everything on one page, extending the length of the page if needed. After a while though it just gives up, so in the past 33 pages, with the editing marks on, I’ve added 5 pages. That throws all the text off, so I can’t work from a printed copy. I wish I hadn’t highlighted a printout of it now.
