Lunacy

Today, I got to tell a customer that I didn’t think he was a lunatic. In my defense, he did ask. People don’t seem to understand that the logs on a mail server are pretty solid. If I have logs, and they don’t show your email hitting our server, the answer isn’t that our server lost the email. Still, no matter how many times you explain it, or how, people will blame who they will.
As one of my co-workers said, “If they have to stop for reassurance that they aren’t insane, they should probably take the question as an answer unto itself.”
